Wesley Arbor

A Respite Ministry for
Dementia Care

At Wesley Church, we believe in walking alongside families facing the challenges of dementia with love, dignity, and hope. That’s why we created Wesley Arbor—a respite ministry designed to provide a safe, engaging, and caring environment for individuals living with dementia while giving their caregivers the opportunity to rest, recharge, and catch up on life.

What We Offer

Wesley Arbor provides structured, compassionate care two days a week:

🗓 Tuesdays & Thursdays
🕘 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Wesley Church – 6520 Frederica Road

Our program includes:

  • Engaging Activities – Music, crafts, light exercise, and social interaction tailored to participants’ abilities.
  • Loving Supervision – A trained team of volunteers and staff who understand the unique needs of dementia care.
  • Safe & Supportive Environment – A secure, welcoming space where participants feel valued and loved.
  • A great meal with the BEST desserts provided by our volunteer team

For Caregivers

Caring for someone with dementia is a profound calling, but it can also be exhausting. Wesley Arbor gives caregivers the gift of time—time to rest, run errands, or simply breathe—knowing your loved one is safe and cared for.

We also host a support group for caregivers to meet and support each other through the unique challenges that come with being a caregiver.

Why We Do It

Because no one should walk this journey alone. At Wesley Church, we believe every person is created in God’s image and deserves dignity, compassion, and connection. Wesley Arbor exists to serve both participants and caregivers, offering hope and community in the midst of life’s challenges.
