This year’s theme, A Garden to Grow In, reminds us of our calling to mature in faith and to help others do the same. The apostle Peter instructs us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Our task is to be faithful to His Word and trust God with the results. The growth of our ministries is possible because of the commitment and generosity of people like you.
Scripture encourages followers of Jesus to give willingly—not out of obligation, but as an act of faith and worship, with the understanding that all we have belongs to God (2 Corinthians 9:7, Malachi 3:10). Jesus said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21).
As we give through Wesley Church at Frederica, we partner with God’s work, supporting the mission of the church and meeting the needs of others. Because we believe that a tithe (or tenth) is a biblical standard for giving (Leviticus 27:30; Numbers 18:26; Deuteronomy 14:24; 2 Chronicles 31:5), we invite our church family to give generously, donating a minimum of one-tenth of their income to the church to support its ministry and mission—to be planted, to grow in Christ, and to reach out to others.
Your giving makes a difference. Together, we are able to accomplish far more than most of us can achieve individually!
The John Wesley Society Endowment honors members and friends of Wesley Church at Frederica who have named the church in their wills and/or other estate plans. In 2017, the church’s finance committee established an endowment fund so that members and friends of the church can provide support in perpetuity for worthy causes. Contributions to an endowment are an effective way of expressing gratitude for God’s blessings.
Please notify the church office if you have designated Wesley in your will.
According to an established spending policy, endowment income will not be used for general operating expenses of the church. Instead, endowment funds will be designated for special programs specified by the donor or at the discretion of the trustees to increase mission giving or other benevolent work.
We are excited to announce that Wesley Academy is eligible to participate in the Georgia Tax credit program for education!
The state of Georgia offers a 100% income tax credit in exchange for contributions made to Student Scholarship Organizations to provide scholarships to eligible students at designated schools.
In short, you can redirect your Georgia state income tax to support Christian education. Dollar for dollar!
To leverage this powerful program, our school partners with the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program (GOAL). This is the state approved entity that administers the tax dollars.
It only takes 5 minutes to register and so very easy for you to sign up for this program. Anyone who pays Georgia tax can contribute to this program….not just parents of the school, so help spread the word!
