OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Sunday, November 18 is the last day to return filled OCC boxes to Wesley for delivery by our Club 345 kids. Please place your boxes in the containers around the table outside of the Celebration Hall by 1:00pm. Thank you for your support in sending the love and Word of Christ to kids in need all over the world!
All Wesley ladies! It is not too late to make reservations for our UMW Christmas party, which is always fun! This year, it will be held at Halyard’s on December 11 at 11:00am with Rebecca Mitchell as our guest speaker. The cost of $25 includes tax, tip, appetizer, and an entrée choice of chicken scallopini or sauteed local shrimp. Please submit your reservation and money no later than November 25. Contact Linda Hefti (email@example.com) for more information.
So far this year, Wesley has welcomed 36 new members to our congregation. The Wesley 101 class, led by our pastor, Steve Patton, has been a significant part of this process. If you are ready to make Wesley your church home or want to know more about membership, we invite you to join us for our next class, meeting at 6:00pm on Tuesday, November 27 in the Bridal Suite. To RSVP or request childcare, contact Paige Gober at 634-1412 x13.
November is National Adoption Month. Adoption-Share is a nonprofit organization founded by Wesley member Thea Ramirez that exists to leverage technology to create families. Its most recent application, Family-Match, is a data-driven program designed to promote permanency for youth in foster care through compatibility matching. Family-Match is being piloted in three states and has already decreased the time to match by an average of 10 months. Adoption-Share is currently scaling Family-Match to respond to additional states that have reached out with interest about this revolutionary application. For more information, visit www.family-match.org.

On Saturday, December 1 at 3:00pm, the Golden Isles Community Chorus with local soloists and orchestra will perform Part I of Handel's beloved Messiah at Wesley UMC. The concert is to be conducted by Matt Caine and will include Matthew Ganong and several musicians from our Chancel Choir as part of the performing forces. While this is a free concert, a donation of $10 or more is suggested to help defray expenses. Please join us as we welcome our community for a time-honored tradition and prepare to receive the Christ Child anew.
On Sunday, November 18, all middle school students, high school students, and their families are invited to join us for WUMAC's annual Kickball Classic! Enjoy a cookout at Mallery Park followed by one of the best sporting competitions you will see all year. The underclassmen will take on the upperclassmen with a little help from middle school students and parents ($2/person). This is a great event and fundraiser for our mission team, so don't miss it! The fun starts at 5:30pm.
HS MISSION TRIP
We are excited about this summer's High School Mission Trip to the Navajo Reservation of New Mexico! We will partner with Experience Mission as we serve families and children who live on the reservation. We will work hard on construction projects in the mornings, host a kids' club in the afternoons, and worship together each evening. This trip also includes a six-month leadership development program that starts in January. Students, come by the youth room to register! For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
