A big congrats to our contemporary worship leader, Charlie Judd who will be graduating with a Master of Education degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia. He will soon be employed as a speech-language pathologist in the local area. We are pleased to share that he will continue leading us in worshiping during the 9:00am hour.
This Sunday we are blessed to have Beth Humber at the organ and Dr. Michelle Johnston at the piano. The Wesley Ringers have decided to polish the bells and put them away for the summer. We appreciate their great contributions to our worship services this year and look forward to reconvening in the fall. Thank you, thank you! We have several summertime music events coming up! First is, "Wesley's Top 40!" Please take a minute this Sunday or in the next week to jot down your 10 favorite hymns on the bulletin flyer. Place it in the offering plate between now and May 30. We are going to compile a list of Wesley's top 40 favorite hymns and sing them throughout the summer months. Children’s Music Camp will be for rising K - 5th graders, and three and four year olds in chorus and dance, June 14-18, from 9:00am-12:00pm. The camp will include grade-level music instruction by Mrs. Debbie and grade-level dance instruction provided by Jill Stanford Dance Studio. We are looking for youth and adult counselors to help with coaching drama, directing crafts, coordinating snacks, costumes, props, and painting sets. If you love music, drama, and dance, we could use your help! Please contact Debbie this week.

AN OLD STORY IN A NEW WAY
She had three big strikes against her - she was a widow, she was a foreigner, she was poor. But God had big plans for her! Come to the Wesleyan Heritage Sunday School class on Sunday, May 9, to hear the whole inspiring story. Rebecca Mitchell will tell the entire book of RUTH by heart. You will hear how God works through difficulties in the lives of ordinary people to accomplish His wonderful purposes, and you will be encouraged! See you there! (The class meets from 9:30-10:30am in their classroom to the left of Celebration Hall).
HYMNALS & BIBLES
Our Worship Committee spent one afternoon placing our new hymnals and Bibles throughout the sanctuary. These new hymnals and Bibles were generously given by a church family and were consecrated for the purpose of worship and the study of God's Word. The Salvation Army has asked the worship committee for all of the available Bibles and for fifteen hymnals. Any remaining hymnals will be donated to various churches and organizations as they are identified. If you have given a Bible or hymnal in memory or honor of someone and would like to keep it, please let the church office know. Thank you for the blessing of using these Bibles and hymnals for many years to worship and glorify God.
