Wesley Worship Arts In Action Concerts

Wesley is honored to present 4-6 concerts per year as part of The Sally Weston Hawie Concert Series. The series is named for "Miss" Sally, who spearheaded its fundraising several years ago before she passed away. Her husband, Ed Hawie, serves as the Executive Director of the series and Janet Higginbotham is the hospitality coordinator. They work together with Debbie McIlrath, Director of Sacred Arts at Wesley, to invite professional performers to come and provide inspirational concerts in Wesley's beautiful sanctuary.

Due to COVID, the SWH Artist Series Board created the concept of a worship concert, which is a mini-concert during the Sunday morning service. The performers provide 30 minutes of music integrated into worship. Concerts on Sunday mornings have helped delimit large group activities offered by the church during COVID. However, as we make progress in the area of safety, we anticipate going back to evening concerts with a full hour of music at Wesley.

Our last concert in this year's SWH Series is a worship concert on October 17, 2021, 10:45am in the sanctuary. Social distancing will be observed and the worship concert will be livestreamed. Audience masks are required. Click HERE to learn more.

The Sally Weston Hawie Concert Series is already lined up for 2022 and some of 2023! For more information contact debbie@wesleyssi.org.
