As we celebrate our 30th anniversary and retire our debt, it is time for Wesley to look to the future. The church’s Legacy Ministry Committee, under the leadership of the Georgia United Methodist Foundation, has established a legacy giving program, the John Wesley Society Foundation. This endowment will provide our church with resources to grow missions and ministries beyond the annual budget and provide a legacy for future generations. There will be many ways to contribute which can benefit you as well as the church. Please be in prayer for this exciting new endeavor as you will be hearing more about becoming a charter member.
SECURING OUR FUTURE
VBS HELP NEEDED!With summer quickly approaching, it is time to get ready for Vacation Bible School (June 12-16). This is our biggest outreach to children in the community, and it takes a village to pull it off! Actually, it’s going to take a CITY this year. We are turning our church into ancient Rome where kids will meet Paul in prison and explore an authentic marketplace. We will need to borrow items that you may have around your home: tents, sheets, blankets, and “Roman” décor. Watch for signs asking for these types of items and please consider volunteering with us! Registration for students AND volunteers is now OPEN. Visit our website or click here to sign up. Contact Maryellen Aiken with questions: (404) 213-6871.
UNF CHAMBER SINGERSOn Sunday, April 30 at 5:00pm, Music@Wesley will present the University of North Florida Chamber Singers in concert under the direction of Dr. Cara Tasher. The a cappella choir will present a variety of choral repertoire, including the Requiem by 20th Century English composer Herbert Howells. Make plans to join us for our final concert of the 2016-2017 concert season.

CARE NET BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGNBaby bottles are coming in May! Help sponsor Care Net's Baby Bottle Campaign by filling the bottles with your loose change, checks, or bills and return them by Father's Day. This year, we would like to take it up a notch by asking for donations of diapers as well. On May 7, Rachel Hicks is coming to Wesley to speak about how Care Net has impacted her life. For more information about Care Net or service opportunities with Care Net, contact Judy Wood: firstname.lastname@example.org.
ONLINE GIVINGThrough our website, we offer the convenience of online giving. Donors can pay their tithe, contribute to various funds, and establish recurring transactions, all with great ease. Click here or choose "Giving" in the navigation menu to make a contribution. If you need assistance or have questions, please contact the church office: email@example.com or (912) 634-1412.
THE FUNERAL AS WORSHIPOn Sunday, May 7, 4:00-5:30pm, Chris Goodson and others will present a session on funerals as worship, overviewing history and theology to offer practical ideas, suggestions, and help for planning a funeral service. These somewhat morbid topics are best explored before the occasion arises: “What is a Christian funeral?” and “How is a funeral actually a worship service?” Information shared in this session also may help you think about what you would like at your funeral. Please visit the breezeway to sign up for this class. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
