HOLY WEEK MIDDAY SERVICE AND LUNCHEONWesley is pleased to host the Holy Week community service and luncheon on Wednesday, March 28. We hope you will join us. To volunteer for food items or service opportunities, please click here. Schedules for daily community services are available in the Narthex and Marshall Gathering Room.
MAUNDY THURSDAYOn Maundy Thursday, we commemorate The Last Supper with Holy Communion and a Tenebrae service as we follow Jesus through his final days before the crucifixion. This meaningful service will incorporate the Chancel Choir and Wesley Ringers. Join us on March 29 at 6:30pm.
GOOD FRIDAY VIGILOn March 30, join musicians and ministers from Saint Simons Island and Brunswick at SS Presbyterian Church as we meditate on the seven last sayings of Jesus on the cross. You may drop in/leave as needed between 12:30 and 3:30pm or stay for the entire vigil. Lunch: 11:30am-12:15pm.
EASTER SUNDAY WORSHIPOn April 1, the Chancel Choir will lead 8:15 and 10:45am services in a celebration of The Resurrection with special choral anthems, beloved Easter hymns, and the Hallelujah Chorus. Due to an expected high volume of guests and limited seating, we encourage regular attendees of the 10:45am service to join us, instead, at the 8:15am service. Whether you prefer these traditional services or the 9:00am contemporary service, don’t miss Easter morning at Wesley!
CONCERT SERIESMusic@Wesley will continue its spring mini-series of wonderful, free concerts on April 22, 4:00pm, when Martha Lopez, soprano, will perform operatic arias, art songs, songs from musical theatre, and more. Then, on Sunday, May 6, join us as our new Director of Music Ministries, Dr. Matt Caine, collaborates with Matthew Ganong to present a concert of vocal and piano music. For details or to help sponsor the series, please contact Matt Caine: (912) 634-1412 x15 or email@example.com.

This endowment has been established so that members and friends of the church can provide support in perpetuity for Wesley UMC. During 2018, anyone contributing to the endowment through legacy gifts or a minimum outright contribution of $100 will become a member of the John Wesley Society. For more information, visit our table in the breezeway or contact Financial Secretary Caroline Tobler: firstname.lastname@example.org or 634-1412.
GROWING GREETER MINISTRYWe are grateful for the wonderful response at the Greeter Appreciation Dinner and Orientation. Over 40 people attended, and approximately 20 new greeters were added. This ministry is vital to the heartbeat of ministry at Wesley, as greeters are often the first to welcome new visitors. If you are a new greeter but were unable to attend the dinner and training, Marsha Smith or Ellen Wilkes will be in contact with you.
EGGSTRAVAGANZA!Wesley families, don’t miss our Easter Eggstravaganza on Palm Sunday, 12:00–2:00pm. Note the NEW TIME this year! Following church services, meet in front of the main Sanctuary for the egg hunt parade, then stay afterward for a hot dog picnic lunch, children’s games and crafts, a visit from the Easter bunny, and playground fun! All ages are invited. Children’s choir will sing in a Palm Sunday processional at 10:45am. (email@example.com.)
