On Sunday, May 28, we will welcome organist Elizabeth (Liz) Goff to play for our 8:15 and 10:45am services, including a concert prelude to begin 15 minutes before worship. Liz grew up as a Methodist in Mississippi. She graduated Millsaps College, Jackson, MS, Magna Cum Laude in Organ Performance. Liz then moved to London, England, to study organ at the Royal College of Music, where she completed her Master of Music degree under the tutelage of Dr. Douglas Guest, Sir David Willcocks, Richard Popplewell, and Edwin Roxburgh. Liz currently lives in Utah with her husband, Max.

YOUTH CHOIR IN CONCERT: MAY 30, 2017On Tuesday, May 30 at 7:00pm, the Celebration Singers Youth Choir from Tucker First United Methodist Church in Tucker, Georgia, will present a program of choral, handbell, and instrumental anthems at Wesley UMC. This 50-voice choir of mid-high and senior high youth is on its annual choir tour. We invite you to join us!
FIREFIGHTER DONATIONSGlynn County and Homeland Security are requesting items to support crews working on the south Georgia wildfires. Items needed are water, Gatorade, Powerade, Chapstick, bug repellent (non-aerosol), and packaged snacks (no chocolate or peanuts). No homemade items can be accepted; all items can be dropped off at Wesley for delivery to crews at the West Mims Fire. Only items listed will be taken! Deadline: Sunday, May 21, 2017.

CARE NET CAMPAIGNTo participate in the 2017 Care Net Baby Bottle Campaign, please pick up baby bottles from the breezeway, fill them with your loose change, checks, or bills, and return them by Father’s Day, June 18. Donations will help area Care Net centers continue programs aimed at providing practical support and counseling for pregnant women, mothers in need, and at-risk youth.
MISSION TEAM SUPPORTOur High School Mission Team is preparing for their trip to Washington, D.C., on June 18-24, and we need your help to get there! Please join us on Sunday, June 11 for a special commissioning service and fundraiser. If you would like to support the mission team financially before June 11, contact email@example.com. Students will spend the week sharing their faith by leading Kids’ Clubs for children in impoverished areas around the city and partnering with Salvation Army food banks and soup kitchens. We will finish the week with a sightseeing tour of D.C. monuments and museums.
