The ministry of weekday education began at Wesley in 1994. It is the purpose of our ministry to provide a secure atmosphere that encourages spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development. Our philosophy that childhood should be a time of fun, exploration, discovery, and growth. Planned within the framework of our purpose and philosophy, the curriculum includes: Bible stories, times of sharing with songs, fingerplays, creative art activities, crafts, games, large muscle activities, field trip, food preparation, science and nature activities, exposure to shapes, colors, numbers, letters and celebration of birthdays and holidays
To enhance family growth and togetherness, we will have activities through out the year that will include dinners, family movie nights, and other seasonal activities. After School Program Following the dismissal from schools on SSI, we have an After School Program for students. Their afternoon schedule includes snack, study time to complete homework, games and outside free play. Both the morning preschool and after school programs include a Chapel Service each Tuesday, as well as other seasonal activities.
