Mission Opportunities: A Few Hours of Service

As the New Year begins, perhaps you have felt God’s call to service but are unsure where your spiritual gifts might be most needed. Please read the following descriptions of places or services you might be interested in, and call the Wesley contact for specifics.

Hearts and Hands Ministry: 4th Saturday of the month for 2 hours. Sign up to deliver meals to shut-ins on St. Simons. We pick up the meals at 10:45am, and delivery usually takes less than 2 hours. Sign up for one Saturday by calling Mrs. Debra Snider at 269-9217.

Hospice Meals: 4th Thursday of the month. Wesley members prepare a family meal for Hospice caregivers working with Hospice patients at home. Sign up for one of these 12 Thursdays to help support this community ministry. Call Mrs. Dana Driggers at 506-1679.

Karen’s House of Hope: This FaithWorks Ministry needs volunteers to serve as a host or hostess for a few hours at a time each week. Help is needed at the home on Monday and Wednesday mornings, as well as Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. The facility is located at 2315 Starling Drive in Brunswick. Call Debbie Cauthen, Director, at 265-0080 to offer support to those undergoing hospital treatment, as well as their families.
