Life Groups At Wesley

You can worship, sing, pray and listen from the church pew…but you can’t connect with others from the church pew!  So allow the church pew to be a launching pad to explore Life Group opportunities that will connect you to great fellowship, friendship and discipleship opportunities at Wesley!  You will discover that some of these groups are on-going and some are seasonal.  Call Paige Gober at the church office at 634-1412, ext. 13 for the most current studies, dates and times for the various groups.

Women’s Groups

Women’s Circles:
These two UMW Circles meet monthly: The Dorcas Circle meets at 10:00 a.m. on the second Tuesday of every month in the Wesleyan Heritage Classroom.  The Hay Fellowship Circle meets on the second Monday evening of the month in various homes of circle members. Both groups offer Bible study, support mission efforts, and host a variety of events and receptions in the church.

Women's Bible Study  This group meets once a week on Sunday afternoons at 4:30 pm in the Bridal Suite.  They enjoy a variety of topics taught by popular authors and Key note speakers.  Watch the newsletter for information for the most current study being offered.

Co-Ed Groups

David Ogletree’s Bible Study
You’ll enjoy coffee, refreshments and an insightful study presented by David Ogletree on Monday mornings at 10:00 a.m. in the Wesleyan Heritage Classroom.

Emmaus
The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. The program’s approach seriously considers the model of Christ’s servanthood and encourages Christ’s disciples to act in ways appropriate to being “a servant of all.”  Members of Wesley have supported Emmaus through sponsoring individuals on walks as well as volunteering to this worthwhile ministry.

Disciple Bible Studies
Wesley has offered a variety of Disciple studies over the past several years.  They launch in the fall, meet weekly and closely follow the academic calendar. The 2008 Disciple IV class is underway and will conclude in the spring. A Disciple Study Group is composed of up to twelve students and one leader/learner. There are five separate Disciple Bible Studies, including one for the youth. Each is a structured, intensive 32 to 34 week study. Daily Bible reading and journaling are an important part of the study. Questions are explored that are designed to stimulate group discussion.
